Description
A creative immigrant named Sabato Rodia constructed the Watts Towers in west Los Angeles between 1921-1954. This folk artist created 17 inter-connected sculptural towers of re bar and cement, and decorated them with broken pottery, tiles, and bottles. The tallest structure is 99 feet tall. The towers are on the list of historic places for the United States, California, and Los Angeles.
