Artist's Description
This old schoolhouse sits in the middle of a pasture in the small village of San Simeon, California. You can just see infamous Hearst Castle on the top of the hill in the background. Hearst's own grandson also attended the school for a couple of years in the 1940's. The building, which once housed the one-room school, is now a private residence.
