Description
Grauman's Chinese Theater, also called Mann's Theater, now goes by the name TLC Chinese Theater. The movie theater was built in 1922 to resemble a large pagoda with guardian lions guarding the door and dragon silhouettes decorating the copper roof. The historical landmark was considered to be one of the elaborate picture palaces which were popular in that era. It has played host to several Academy Award programs. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Los Angeles. Many hand-prints, footprints, and autographs of Hollywood stars can be found imprinted in the cement walk out front.
