Description
Two times a day, the Steamboat Natchez makes its way down the Mississippi River from its dock near the French Quarter in New Orleans. It is the 9th steamer to use the name "Natchez". The ship was launched in 1975 as a authenic steam-powered paddlewheeler. The giant red wheel was crafted out of 25 tons of white oak lumber. The pride of the Mississippi is known for its jazz cruises and for its antique steam whistle calliope.
