Description
Mount Wilson Observatory is found at the top of Mount Wilson in the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles. The historic Hooker Telescope was once used by Edwin Hubble in the 1920's when he measured the expansion of the universe, and proved it extended beyond our Milky Way. It recently was converted for visual observing and in was opened for public viewing in 2014.The astronomical telescope was the world's largest form 1917-1949.
